I had the pleasure of being interviewed recently by Dash Force News about New Hampshire's awesome cryptocurrency outreach activism. You can check out the half-hour interview on YouTube here .

Recently on the new FTL forum we had Jimmy from Arizona (not James) show up and post! If you want to connect with other FTL listeners and hosts, be sure to visit our new listener forum .

As always, the AMP program is the best way to help us besides promoting the show on your social media platforms, so please get signed up today for $5 a month .

First-Ever 360 Degree FTL Aftershow! :: Bitcoin August 1st Explainer

July 15th, 2017 - 3:52pm by FTL_Admin in

We did something new this week that many reading this email may never have tried. We did an aftershow, but not like normal. This time it was a YouTube exclusive AND it was in 360 degrees - both firsts for FTL. It went for about an hour and you can see it in full here . If you've never watched a 360 degree video before, here's how you do it. The neat thing about the 360, is YOU decide what to watch! If you are watching on a computer, you can click and drag in the YouTube player window to move the frame around. If you are on a smartphone, you can touch the screen and move the frame that way OR you can physically move your phone. Finally, you can also watch 360 videos in VR goggles like Google Cardboard!

It's a neat gimmick, and I hope you enjoy it.

In other news, the August 1st deadline for the Bitcoin not-so-civil war is coming up fast. What do you need to know? I just released a...

July 9th, 2017 - 2:43pm by FTL_Admin in

This week I had the pleasure of being interviewed by The Jail Paper Keene , a new local courtroom photo/video blog in town. We covered a bunch of questions in under ten minutes.

Also, this week we had two more AMPlifiers sign onto the new Free Talk Live forum and claim their AMP badge! Welcome to Derrick and "Jack Wagon"! If you haven't checked out the FTL forum yet, it's open to anyone, not just AMPlifiers. However, if you AMP for $5 a month, you get the FTL badge on the forum and some other cool perks. Please sign up for AMP here with credit card, Paypal, or bitcoin.

If you missed Shire Dude's hilarious video from Somaliafest & Shirefest 2017 featuring Ian, Mark, and Derrick J,...

Derrick J is Back! + Steemit & Charlie Shrem Interview

July 1st, 2017 - 3:43pm by FTL_Admin in

You can't keep a good activist down. After taking some time off from activism to launch a new business, former FTL co-host Derrick J Freeman has again taken to the web and has been making some great new blog posts over at Free Keene .

Here's his detailed piece he called in about earlier this week about the "expose" seminar the progressives held in Portsmouth, NH recently. Just today he also made a video about Shire Bitcoin , according to him the best vendor at Somaliafest/Shirefest/Porcfest. You can see all his blogs at Free Keene , of course, and now you can go follow and vote him up on Steemit !

Speaking of Steemit, you may...

Shirefest and Somaliafest :: FTL Digest Now on iHeartRadio

June 24th, 2017 - 12:47pm by FTL_Admin in

The first-ever Shirefest and Somaliafest were great! I'll be posting photos and a detailed piece for Free Keene , so be sure you're subscribed there to get the latest. As usual, it's hard to get anything done besides our broadcast from Roger's Campground, so I neglected to send last week's email. Thanks for understanding and listening to our show - I hope our several days of broadcasting Free Talk Live from Shirefest were able to give you a flavor for what these brand new libertarian camping festivals in New Hampshire were like. There's a lot of room for growth and we'll keep you in the loop about how Shirefest develops.

In order to help people who were at Shirefest (or want to attend next year) connect with each other off-of-facebook, I've added a Shirefest subforum to the Shire Forum. As you know the Shire Forum is the home of the new...

Thanks to some fancy new software behind-the-scenes, we can now take video calls on Skype, and the video will go out over our cam feed on Free Talk Live and LRN.FM's Saturday late-night show, Off the Air Live, where the new features premiered last night . As always, you can skype in at username LRN.FM.

Welcome to KINA-AM/FM in Salina, KS. They're joining us for Free Talk Live weekends. Also coming back to our affiliate list in a big way is WMEL-AM and its three FM translators in Melbourne/Cocoa, FL. FTL Hosts Return from TALKERS Convention :: New AMP Badge on FTL Forum!

June 4th, 2017 - 6:58pm by FTL_Admin in

Mark and I got back this weekend from the TALKERS Magazine yearly convention in New York City. Thanks as always to those awesome listeners who AMP the show for as little as $5 a month for sending us there - it was our twelfth year attending! The pic is me, the Amazing Kreskin, and Mark.

Coming soon, we'll have some cool news about the AMP program! For now, I'm experimenting with a feature on the NEW Free Talk Live forum . The new, modern forum software we're running, Discourse, allows for groups to be created of forum users, complete with a graphical badge. Right now our FTL AMPlifiers qualify for the badge - so if you want one, please sign up for AMP (and get a bunch of other cool perks) for $5 a...

Announcing our Global Satellite Feed Patreon!

May 28th, 2017 - 5:19pm by FTL_Admin in

After a recent discussion with the AMPlifiers on the AMP-only facebook group about the budget for the program, it was determined that LRN.FM's international satellite feeds should be broken out into its own fundraiser and refocus the AMP program exclusively on Free Talk Live. If you think broadcasting the ideas of liberty to other countries 24/7 is a good project, please kick in at least $2 month and share our Patreon in places you feel appropriate.

Also, some of you wanted the opportunity to buy an autographed DVD copy of Derrick J's Victimless Crime Spree. You can now do that with cryptocurrency here !

We'll be announcing some new iedas for the AMP program soon. If you want to support Free Talk Live's continued expansion in the United States, please join the AMP program for at little...

FTL Moves Up to #29 on TALKERS' "Heavy Hundred" :: AMP Update

May 23rd, 2017 - 2:40am by FTL_Admin in

Since 2010, we've been honored to have been included in TALKERS Magazine's "Heavy Hundred" , the yearly list of what they call the "most important radio talk show hosts in America". This year, we move up from #31 to #29. Thanks TALKERS and thank you, dear listener, for supporting and sharing Free Talk Live, and especially those of you who have contacted your local talk radio stations about Free Talk Live .

Of course we couldn't have grown as we have without our Free Talk Live AMPlifiers . Last week, I sent an email about the AMP program slowing dropping more members than it has gained each week. That resulted in a blast of signups from new and former AMPlifiers! Thank you! As a result of the outpouring of support, AMP has reversed direction and we are now at $2,975 per month. We also received some good suggestions and I...

AMP Drops Below $2,900; Can You Help?

May 15th, 2017 - 12:30am by FTL_Admin in

This isn't the kind of news I like to report, but the AMP program is slowly losing money and has been over the last several years. While we have a couple of hundred great supporters in the AMP program, over time some people have to drop off due to their life circumstances (losing a job, tightning budget, etc). That's to be expected. Unfortunately, most months, the number of AMPers we lose slightly outnumbers the number we gain through new signups. As a result, the AMP program is dying rather than thriving. We'd love to do more to Advertise, Market, and Promote Free Talk Live (and LRN.FM), but instead I have to look at what to cut.

Rather than cutting, I've been subsidizing the AMP program with other funds, so we can continue everything we're currently doing (like paying Darryl to do affiliate relations for the show, TALKERS magazine ads, and having industry representation by talk radio...
