L. Neil Smith reports that US Marshals and domain registrar GoDaddy leaned on him to remove an article from his Libertarian Enterprise website. Why? GoDaddy said in an email that the article “will need to be immediately removed from the website [ncc-1776.org] for the safety of the Federal Judges and their families.” A full 6 months ago, Smith published the offending article by writer Jim Davidson about the three judges in U.S. v. Pineda-Moreno who voted to allow feds to secretly put GPS trackers on private individuals’ cars without a warrant.
Over the past year, in fact, Smith has been summonsed, arrested and taken to court for disorderly conduct for "loud whistling." Smith is now free to whistle, but only under one unusual condition: He has to keep walking while he whistles.
A few minutes ago, I wrote e-mail to a Denver talk show host. The topic today was illegal immigration (he’s against it), Arizona’s
new legislation on the subject (he’s for it), the 16,000 drug war
related deaths, so far, that have occurred on the U.S./Mexican border,
the likelihood that this war will spill over (in fact, it already has)
onto U.S. soil, and the federal government’s complete lack of concern
that it might happen.

Larry Smith had planned on taking a stroll through downtown Monday afternoon after finishing up business at the county courthouse.Instead, Smith found himself surrounded by police officers, military vehicles with machine guns inside and a group of snipers lying on the grass in the new Pack Square Park,
(Reuters)-A Colorado student faced misdemeanor charges on Wednesday for flinging glitter toward Mitt Romney. Video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jPKHW6IlRHs) of the incident shows Romney shaking hands with supporters in an auditorium when the glitter is thrown at him and Secret Service agents usher him away.
While Gregory Sciance was locked inside the Hamilton County Jail for a probation violation, Sgt. Wanda Smith was out buying groceries with his food stamps. Due to lax security in the state's welfare program and lax morals on the part of Ms. Smith, she was able to unlock Sciance's EBT card and make several purchases totaling over $300. Now that Sciance is free from jail, the only place he can afford to eat is at the community soup kitchen.
