U.S. government studies have consistently found that young whites use marijuana at higher rates than young blacks or Latinos. Yet, in 2010, the New York Police Department arrested blacks for marijuana possession at seven times the rate of whites, and Latinos at nearly four times the rate of whites. In New York City 87% of the people arrested for marijuana possession are blacks and Latinos.

NY Times Says ‘Gays, Guns, and God’ Won’t Matter in 2012 Election (VIDEO)
Timothy Egan of the NY Times wrote an op-ed about why wedge issues like ‘Gays, Guns and God’ will have little impact on the election next year.
To substantiate his argument, Egan pointed to a recent New York Times/CBS News Poll of likely Republican caucus goers.
According to the poll, 40 percent of respondents said they were most concerned with the economy and jobs, followed by the budget deficit at 23 percent. Only 9 percent cited social issues as a top concern.

How would it respond to this weekend's Times Square bomb threat? Well, by extrapolation from its response to the 9/11 attacks and subsequent threats, the policy would be:
- All vans or SUVs headed into Midtown Manhattan would have to stop and have their contents inspected. If any vehicle seemed for any reason to have escaped inspection, Midtown in its entirety would be evacuated;
- A whole new uniformed force -- the Times Square Security Administration, or TsSA - would be formed for this purpose;
NEW YORK—At 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, every single resident of New York City decided to evacuate the famed metropolis, having realized it was nothing more than a massive, trash-ridden hellhole that slowly sucks the life out of every one of its inhabitants.
