Rapper Kurtis Blow Busted With Pot After TSA Body Scan

Legendary rapper Kurtis Blow was busted at LAX this morning after a TSA body scanner detected an item in his pocket -- a stash of weed, TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the body scan detected "an anomaly' in his pants. Yes, we thought that was funny as well. A subsequent pat down revealed pot in his pocket. Kurtis received a ticket -- standard operating procedure when it's under an ounce -- and went on his merry way. These are "the breaks". Next time Mr. Blow, try the pat down.

Over at Jeff Stein's Washington Post spy news column, an item on a counter-terrorism drill enacted by federal, state and local agencies in Northern California this Wednesday, November 17. During the exercise, participants playing the roles of local pot farmers set off bombs and took over the Shasta Dam, the nation's second largest, to free an imprisoned comrade.

Pot is up marginally, but the real biggies are ecstasy, at 37 percent and meth, at 60 percent, yet "I think all of the attention and the focus of calling marijuana medicine has sent the absolute wrong message to our young people," Kerlikowske said in an interview.

What a turd! Maybe that eight percent more who admit using pot are medical? Yeah, I think so too.

Marijuana stolen from police

FARMINGTON -- About 1,000 marijuana plants were stolen from a Farmington law enforcement storage facility overnight Tuesday.

Farmington police officers discovered the break-in Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., according to police Chief Jack Peck.

An overhead garage door had been "pried open" and much of the marijuana, seized Tuesday in a northern Franklin County drug raid, was gone, Peck said.

Bureaucratic Loophole Prevents Pot Decrim from Being Allowed on Ballot

Organizers for the Coalition for a Safer Detroit warned that the battle to legalize up to an ounce of pot may be arduous and timely after a Wayne County Circuit judge upheld an Aug. 9 decision by the Detroit Election Commission to keep the proposal off the ballot in November.
The commission and judge said the ballot was pre-empted by state law banning possession of the drug.
