Taser deaths by police in Vermont and elsewhere clearly show that it is time for a moratorium on what the UN calls a “torture weapon.”

On the evening of June 20th in Thetford VT, Macadam Mason was just another all-but-anonymous 39-year-old artist, an alcoholic sober three years, a father of three who had epilepsy and mental health issues in the bargain. He’d had a grand mal seizure the day before and was suffering what, for him, were the typical disorienting after effects that usually lasted for days.

Man beaten to a pulp by cops after not pulling over

One of the officers reportedly broke his hand while inflicting blows on Mr Leone’s head. The victim also claims he was kicked and Tased repeatedly. The brutality allegedly continues after Mr Leone is pulled off-camera, with audible screams being heard as one of the troopers claims Mr Leone spit on him. 'F***ing pull over means be pulled the f*** over. You’re going to be somebody’s f***ing butt f*** inside.'

Kenneth Chamberlain’s Family Files Suit Against White Plains Police

A $21 million civil rights lawsuit is being filed today against the city of White Plains, New York, and its police department over the death of 68-year-old African-American veteran, Kenneth Chamberlain Sr. He was shot dead by police officers inside his own home after he accidentally set off his medical alert pendant. Police have since acknowledged using racial slurs against Chamberlain — an act they have described as a "tactic" to distract him as they sought entry into his home. i first tried to copy paste notes on this 'show prep' page
(since im calling in tomorrow -also chose 'audio' under media type for that reason)

i posted my story to forum:
'woman activist attempts to pay fine-gets tazed, maced & thrown in cage'

i'm still working on filling in details on my outline of the events as i remember them (such as names of individuals and times things happened) .
i was trying to pay fine in dollar bills which had 'too many marks on them'.

A defenseless inmate was beaten by Tioga County Jail's top administrator, David Monell, after being pepper-sprayed and handcuffed to a wooden bench by other officers. But the Commission of Correction ended its investigation and Tioga's district attorney decided not to prosecute after Monell resigned.

It is always interesting when the goverment truns on one of its own.

Former police officer who was jailed for 10 years for police brutality, spoke for the first time of her conviction. "I just did what I was trained to do" Female cop describes ordeal, for setting police dog on a man trying to escape. The dog bit the man on the calf, but he never filed a complaint. Prince George County Police Department was being investigated after claims of excessive force had been leveled at the force. Complaints and a string of media reports prompted a federal investigation of excessive force by officers. But the investigation yielded no major convictions.
